Seems that the arrow shaft you have would be easy to hand drill it. I think you would have a little more control. Mike Smyth

The bow drill exerts too much horizontal pressure. I've drilled out bamboo nodes with a hand drill and it works great. If you want to use a gadget of some type, consider using a pump drill.Coyo~
